Washington Winners 4-H Meeting January 14, 2018

Washington Winners 4-H January 14, 2018 meeting was held at the Rippey United Methodist Church. Project deadlines were shared with the members.

Washington Winners 4-H January 14, 2018 

            On January 14, 2018 the Washington Winners 4-H club held their annual meeting at the Methodist Church in Rippey. 20/30 members were present.

            Everyone was reminded that market beef information needs to be verified online by February 1st. All other animals must be verified by May 15th. If you still haven’t re-enrolled the late fee is $25 per family.

            The upcoming weigh-in dates for swine is March 10th, sheep/goat is on May 5th, and rabbit and poultry testing/tattoos is also on May 5th.

            Project meetings will continue for dog, horse, rabbit, and poultry. All swine exhibitors must attend one mandatory informational meeting.

            There will be a free FSQA training on February 22nd from 6-8pm. This is the last year for FSQA. There will also be a YQCA class on March 24th from 9-11am. The cost is $3.

            Community Lamb Barn registrations are due April 15th.

            State 4-H Scholarship and Recognition Materials are due on February 1st.

            Ben asked everyone to ask parents if they would like to do a farm tour and see everyone’s animals right before fair as they used to-do it. Parents are to let Ben know.

The next meeting will be on February 10th and everyone is to bring a dozen cookies for Valentine cookie trays. (Reporter- Ashlyn Frederick)
