Rippey Public Library Unattended Children Policy Revised March 26, 2018

The Rippey Library Board of Trustees revised the Unattended Children Policy at their regular meeting on March 26, 2018

Unattended Children Policy

 

The library is not responsible for children left unattended in the library or on library grounds.

 If a child under the age of six is found in the library unattended, the librarian will contact the parent or guardian and request someone come and pick up the child.  If the child’s parent cannot be found or reached, law enforcement can be contacted.  The librarian will stay with the child at the library until law enforcement comes.

 A child under the age of six must be accompanied by a seventh grader or older sibling or a parent / guardian who will be responsible for them in the library.
