Rippey Lions Club Mother-Daughter Banquet Held April 16, 2015

The Rippey Lions Club again sponsored the annual banquet. This year featured mothers and daughters.

Rippey Lions Club Mother-Daughter Banquet and Awards
      The Rippey Lions Club Mother-Daughter Banquet was held on Thursday, April 9, 2015.  President Nancy Burrow welcomed the approximately 50 mothers and daughters.  The meal, prepared by members of the Rippey United Methodist Church under the direction of Kevin and Mary Hick, was served to the guests. The Washington Winners 4-H club assisted in serving the family style meal.
       After the meal, the daughter’s welcome was shared by Toni Roberts and the responses were from her daughter, Lori Bardole and her granddaughter, Cassie Bardole.   The following were recognized with flowers delivered by Maralynn and Myron Rinker:
      The honor of oldest Mother and oldest daughter went to Dorothy Groves, of Rippey and her daughter, Judy (Groves) Busch, of Ogden and the youngest Mother present was Mallory (Roberts) Dillavou of Jefferson.  The mother who traveled the farthest was Erin (Bardole) Englin and daughter, Emma, of Rockwell City. 
       Four generations of mothers and daughters present were Toni Roberts, her daughter, Lori (Roberts) Bardole, both of Rippey and granddaughter, Mallory (Roberts) Dillavou, and her daughter, Kylynn Dillavou, of Jefferson.
       Also,  Midge Vannatta, her daughter,  Pat (Grow) McPherson, of Jamacia,  her daughters-in-law, Pam Grow and Lori Grow, of  Rippey, and her granddaughter,  Jenny (Grow) Lauer and daughter, Allie,  of  Perry.
       Three generations present included Jo Bardole, Erin (Bardole) Englin and Emma Englin of 
Rockwell City; Kathy Jackson, Melissa Wallace and Angel Wallace;  Iva Jo Muir, with her daughter, Cheri (Muir) Kersey, of Grand Junction, and her granddaughter, Kayla Muir, of Rippey.
       Toby the Kid from Ogden provided the entertainment and featured some of the audience in his program, including and Kelly Muir, Kayla Muir, Angel Wallace, Allie Grow, as well as Ethan Frederick of the Washington Winners 4-H Club. After serving the meal, the club members stayed for the program and a good time was had by all.
