Audiobooks

Rippey has a small collection of audiobooks available for checkout. Some of our audiobooks are in CD format, and others are in a "Playaway" format, which is a device that has an audiobook pre-downloaded; all a patron needs to operate a Playaway is a battery and headphones! (The library has these items for patrons.)

eBooks & Audiobooks - Libby App

Patrons of the Rippey Public Library can access Libby with their library card! Libby offers eBooks, audiobooks and magazines. There are plenty of genres to pick from with hundreds of titles. After you borrow material, you'll have a two week period with it. The material will automatically be returned with no late fees. Download Libby, by OverDrive on any smart phone, tablet or computer, or go to http://bridges.lib.overdrive.com. Find your local library and enter your library patron number (found on your library card).

Don't know your library patron number? No problem! Your librarian can help you. Just contact the library!

Your librarian would be happy to help you access Libby and answer any questions. As a user herself, she can show you what it looks like on her device.

Libby Reads - Global Book Club (Adults)

Libby Reads is a global book club that any Rippey library patron can participate in for free with an e-reading app called Libby. To access Libby, all you need is a device (tablet, e-reader, smart phone) and a library card! Ask you librarian for help accessing Libby if you have questions. In July, the book I See You Called in Dead by John Kenney will be available on Libby with no holds or wait time from July 9-23. Participants can contribute to a global online discussion after they're read the book, if desired. Visit the Libby Reads website for more information: https://www.libbylife.com/libby-reads
